then...it came to me
I adore this fire hydrant in my neighborhood
I mean "adore" it
I've photographed it on more than one occasion
You can't begin to count the number of coats of paint on it,
or the number of colors used
and yet,
it's silently sitting there,
trying to shed it's many layers
trying hard
to get naked
(P.S. these Sunday Creative prompts sure are interesting!!)
